'The Silencing' is a crime thriller, it follows Rayburn (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), who is a wildlife sanctuary keeper. This sanctuary is named after Rayburn's missing daughter, Gwen Swanson. Rayburn's life hasn't been good since his daughter got lost. His marriage fell apart. He lives in a remote cabin by himself. The mystery begins when they find a dead body of a young girl. A serial killer is hunting down young girls in an ancient way. Sheriff Alice (Annabelle Wallis) is investigating this case. Also, she is trying to prove that she is different from other cops. But circumstances don't appear to be in her favour. It was an unpredictable movie, but its end didn't justify the suspense they built throughout the movie.
